It is with mixed emotions that the Foundation need to announce that our long serving full time Community Coach, Shaun Scobie will be leaving the organisation.
Shaun has been delivering a wide range of our projects and activities since the Foundation was formed. His commitment and professionalism has been second to none, and there is no doubt that he will be missed.
Shaun has been offered the opportunity to further advance his coaching career in the USA with Kitsap Pumas.
Kitsap Pumas is a professional football team, or soccer as the American’s like to call it, based in Bremerton, Washington. The club was formed in 2008 and plays in the USL Premier Development League or PDL for short.
The PDL is the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, in the Northwest Division of the Western Conference.
Shaun will be taking up the role of Technical Director and Assistant Coach to the 1st team.
Although we are sad to see Shaun leave, we can’t hold him back form this great opportunity.
Everyone at the Foundation would like to wish Shaun good luck for the future and we are looking forward to our “vacation” invites!
Shaun’s last activity for the Foundation will be leading the Summer Camp being held on the newly upgraded filed turf at the rear of the Energy Assets Arena in Livingston.
The camp runs from Monday the 21st of July until Friday 25th of July. We have a half day camp running from 10am until 12 noon and a full day camp running from 10am until 3pm.
We still have places available on each course and it would be a great way to say goodbye to Shaun. Shaun’s last day will be on Thursday the 24th of July.
If you would like to attend the course please contact us on info@lyf4football.org.uk
